How to Edit the CMS

All the text in Nucleus can be customised by Admin users through the CMS (Content Management System). Admins can search for and update text instantly via the Admin Interface. When BAFTA Nucleus is first delivered, all CMS fields contain default text. This can then be edited to suit the intended audience for each instance. When setting up a new project, Admin users should take time to go through both the Entrant Interface and the Viewer Interface, checking that the wording is appropriate for the audience and making updates where necessary.

How to Edit the CMS

  1. Log into the Admin Interface
  2. Go to CMS
  3. Note that the CMS list that opens consists of a table where the two main columns are:
    1. Label – the default values provided by the CMS field
    2. Content – the text that is currently associated to each Label values
  4. To search for specific labels, type their specific names in the search bar at the top of the column. All of the CMS entries that include the keyword will be displayed
  5. Select Edit from the Actions menu on the right hand side of the desired label
  6. Type your new CMS text in the Content field
  7. Click Save
  8. Return to the front end website and refresh the page to see the text updated

Note – there are two type of CMS fields. Some such as text in buttons you are only able to change the text. For most fields it is possible to edit via a WYSIWYG editor which means you have full control of the text, can add images, links or add code in html if you know how to do this.
