How to Add or Edit the CMS

All the text in Nucleus is completly customisable by Admin users. Referred to as CMS Admin users can search for an instantly update via the Admin Interface. When BAFTA Nucleus is first delivered all the CMS fields feature default text which can then be updated to suit the relevant audience for the instance. When setting up a each project Admin user should take some time navigate through the Entrant Interface and Viewer Interface to check the wording suits your audience needs and update as required.

How to Add or Edit the CMS

  1. Log into the Admin Interface
  2. Go to Actions > Misc
  3. In the System Administration menu select CMS
  4. Note that the CMS list that opens consists of a table with two main columns:
    1. Label – the default text provided by the CMS field
    2. Content – the text that is currently in the CMS field
  5. Type in the currently displayed content in the search bar at the top of the Content column
  6. All of the CMS entries that include that key word or phrase will display
  7. Scroll down to find the one you need
  8. Select Edit from the Actions menu
  9. Type your new CMS text in the Content field
  10. Click Save and Close
  11. Return to the front end website and refresh the page to see the text updated

Note – there are two type of CMS fields. Some such as text in buttons you are only able to change the text. For most fields it is possible to edit via a WYSIWYG editor which means you have full control of the text, can add images, links or add code in html if you know how to do this.
