How to Edit or Delete a Scheduled Email Job

Scheduled Email Jobs allow Admins to email groups of Users based on specified criteria at a set date and time. Please note the following Processing Time:

  • Standard Processing: Jobs are processed 1 hour before the scheduled send time. For example, if it’s 2 pm and you schedule a job for 10 pm, it will be processed at 9 pm. This means it will be added at the top of the Email/Log Queue with a ‘New’ status, ready to be sent at 10 pm.
  • Last-Minute Jobs: If scheduled less than 1 hour before the send time, the job is processed immediately and added to the Email Queue. These jobs can only be deleted, not edited.

How to Edit an Email Scheduled Job

You can only edit Scheduled Email Jobs that have not yet progressed to the Email Queue. You can adjust any of its selected settings (such as Recipients, relevant Categories, Date/Time, BCCs etc).

  1. Go to Actions>Misc
  2. To use this Edit function on any particular scheduled email job:
  3. Go to Scheduled Email Jobs under the Email Management section
  4. Look for the relevant Email Job
  5. Click Edit
  6. Amend the settings as you require and click Save. The Email Job will remain in the schedule, with the new settings applied.

Note – You can only edit jobs up to 1 hour before the scheduled release time. After this, only deletion is possible.

How to Delete an Email Scheduled Job

You can delete Email Jobs at any point by following these instructions:

  1. Go to Actions>Misc
  2. To use this Edit function on any particular scheduled email job:
  3. Go to Scheduled Email Jobs under the Email Management section
  4. Look for the relevant Email Job
  5. Click Delete. The Email Job will be deleted.

Important Note – If emails are already in the Email/Log Queue, you must delete them from the queue as well, or they will still be sent. Scheduled Email Jobs not yet sent will appear at the top of the Email Queue.
