Super-Fast Video Processing

An industry first, Super-Fast Video Processing dramatically speeds up the labour-intensive transcoding stage of all video content submissions – reducing the time taken to transcode a file of feature-length HD footage into a stream-friendly format for judging from 1 hour to as little as 5 minutes. This is achieved by Nucleus now transcoding all jobs simultaneously rather than processing in a queue. The transcoding queue remains a feature of all other awards platforms.

The net effect will make your submission process much quicker for entrants. Not only will it encourage a higher quality and greater quantity of entries but it also eliminates transcoding queues at a stroke. Transcoding delays are the biggest source of submission gripes from entrants, and account for a considerable portion of Support Tickets from organisers like yourselves – so Super-Fast Video Processing will eliminate a lot of pain for all involved.

We will be in contact to confirm when this feature will be available on your instance.

Buffer-Free Streaming

We’re aware that judges have varying levels of bandwidth, which can result in frustrating buffering for those with poor connection and download speeds. With Buffer-Free Streaming, we now offer your judges an uninterrupted viewing experience as our streaming software continuously adapts to their available bandwidth – delivering smooth, unbroken playback.

We love this development and think you will, too. Get the popcorn in!

Deleted Entries View

In case you need to see or access them at a glance, you now have the option to have Deleted Entries shown on your Entries list.

This is controlled by a dropdown above your Entry list which says ‘Show deleted entries’. By default this is set to No, but if you select ‘Yes’, your Deleted Entries will be added to the BOTTOM of your Entries List. They will be greyed-out to distinguish them (as well as being marked ‘DELETED’ in the ‘Entry ID’ column).

Google Authenticator filter on Admin User list

We have added a column on the Admin User list which shows whether or not each Admin has Google Authenticator set up.

Accordingly, you can now filter Yes/No for this.

Batch Name selection when Bulk Creating Viewers

When you are using the Bulk Create option for adding new Viewers, the Batch Name to add them to is now selectable via a dropdown. The existing Batches for that Award will be available in this dropdown, alteratively select ‘Other’ to create a new batch.
