Using the Action Log in Nucleus

The Action log is a record of every action performed by every user and can be used for investigating issues and confirming, login times, edits, submissions and payments. It is a comprehensive record of everything that happened in Nucleus for the past 5 years.

The main actions log is available in the Misc section and here admins can use the filters or enter the relevant ID to search actions made in Nucleus. This functionality can be used to check:

  • When a media item was updated
  • Who deleted an entry or an Award, if it was an automated process
  • When an entrant submitted an entry

There are many more use cases than the above.

The action log also now records all of the changes that entrants or admin users make for each entry allowing admins, if necessary, to pinpoint the exact date and time where a change was made.

How to Use the Action Log to See Changes to an Entry

The action log for entries is deemed important so there is functionality on the entry list which provides a prefiltered version of the action log for each entry. To view this at any time.
